Job summary

PCL Solar Constructors USA Inc. in Georgia is seeking a Field Engineer to join our projects across the Southeast. You will gain hands-on experience in construction, engineering, and project management while ensuring quality and safety on site.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with superintendents and subcontractors, manage document control, and help plan workforce and inspect work to resolve issues quickly on active renewable energy projects.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or related field.
• 0–12 months field engineer/coordinator experience preferred; internships count.
• Knowledge of construction specifications, methods, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Mentors and leads inspections and orientations, identifies hazards and corrections, and leads by example for health and safety practices.
• Coordinates with superintendent on workforce planning.
• Maintains project document control and procedures; supports project engineers and superintendents with RFIs, shop drawings, changes and billings.
• Participates in supervision of self-perform scopes, labor tracking, and quantity tracking for LCRs.
• Mentors and coaches field engineers and students/interns.
• Identifies issues on-site or in defined work scopes.
• Coordinates third-party inspections and site reviews.
• Participates in crafting, implementing, and supervising quality plan and ITP.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with all partners.
