Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a Field Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 to gain hands-on experience in solar PV construction and maintenance. You will work with experienced engineers and project managers on 100-300MW utility-scale projects across the United States, primarily onsite at project locations.

Paid at $30 per hour with overtime eligibility. Internship may require relocation for the duration and does not offer visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Eligible for full-time employment on or before Summer 2029.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution and construction of solar power plant projects.
• Gather data and information for project planning and construction.
• Support Project Teams by preparing reports, red line drawings, inspections, and other project documentation.
• Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and optimize project performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies on-site.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on assigned tasks.
• Opportunity to obtain a drone piloting certificate and assist with field surveying based on site needs.
