Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking a Field Engineer Intern to join a solar construction project site for a 12-week summer internship in 2027. The role supports project engineers and managers and offers an hourly wage with overtime and per diem.

Interns will gain real-world construction management experience, be assigned responsibilities with real impact, and present their learnings at project conclusion.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a university as a Sophomore, Junior, or going into Senior year in Engineering (civil, mechanical or electrical) or construction management/science.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
• Excellent mathematical skills applied to problem solving and data analysis.
• Strong coordination, time management, active listening, and both verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and execution of assigned scope on a solar construction project.
• Relocate to the project site for the 12-week summer internship and work with Project Engineers, Project Managers and Superintendents.
• Give a companywide presentation at the end of the internship detailing learnings and impact.
