Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is hiring a Solar Farm Technician II to perform preventative and corrective maintenance across civil, mechanical, and electrical systems, incl. I&C, at a Nevada site.

You will monitor, control, and trend plant data, prioritize safety, and maximize generation while supporting field operations and vendor coordination. Requires a high school diploma, Nevada PV Installer license, and 2+ years as a maintenance electrician or 4 years as a multi-craft tech.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Current Nevada State PV Installer license.
• NABCEP certification or Electrical License preferred.
• Unrestricted driver's license in good standing required.
• 2+ years as maintenance electrician or 4 years as multi-craft maintenance technician performing electrical work.
• Experience in solar operations and maintenance a plus.
• Knowledge of NEC and safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Test, maintain, and troubleshoot solar PV electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Ensure tasks are performed safely per site procedures.
• Complete Lock-Out-Tag-Out, JSA, Permit to Work and required documentation.
• Look for improvement opportunities to processes and procedures.
• Perform data collection and prepare reports.
• Balance of plant and switchyard work as required.
• Monitor maintenance contractors and ensure corrective actions.
• Electrical testing including insulation and thermal testing.
• Document work and generate reports.
• Use Microsoft Office for communication and reporting.
• Identify gaps in safety standards and risks.
• Assist with BOP activities as needed.
• Respond to emergencies or troubleshooting situations.
• Interface with 3rd party contractors on site.
