Job summary

Envelop Group's PSG Energy Group offers a paid Renewable Energy Engineering Internship in Indianapolis, IN, May–August 2027. You will work up to 40 hours/week for 10 weeks, collaborating on solar PV design, site assessments, and project documentation.

You'll gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Helioscope, and PVsyst, supported by mentoring and real project exposure across commercial and industrial solar solutions.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA 3.0.
• Strong interest in renewable energy, sustainability, and solar power systems.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, energy systems, or power generation coursework.
• Experience with design software (AutoCAD, Helioscope, PVsyst) preferred.
• Excel proficiency and data analysis skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with the design and development of commercial and industrial solar PV projects.
• Support site assessments and feasibility evaluations to gather data for system design and planning.
• Review drawings and help ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Assist with solar energy modeling, production forecasting, and performance analysis.
• Develop solar layouts, single-line diagrams, and project documentation.
