Job summary

ION Solar, LLC is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician for our Streamwood, IL project site. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical power, lighting, and control systems as part of residential solar installations.

Applicants should have a valid electrician's license (apprenticeship completion accepted for unlicensed candidates) and strong blueprint reading, with a focus on safety and quality workmanship. Travel and outdoor work are common expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed Journeyman Electrician preferred; apprenticeship completion and valid license required.
• Unlicensed candidates may be enrolled in a trade apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Complete projects within established policies, procedures, time frames, and budgets.
• Assemble solar array racking, seal roof penetrations, and install related equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and system issues.
• Read blueprints and communicate with customers professionally.
• Document proper paperwork for each job completed.
• Work safely as part of a crew and assist other technicians as needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
