Job summary

Ion Solar is a rapidly expanding residential solar company seeking licensed electricians to join our installation teams. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical power, lighting, and control systems for solar projects, often on rooftops or in attics, while ensuring safety and quality.

This role requires blueprint literacy, hands-on tool use, troubleshooting skills, and professional customer interactions to guide homeowners through the solar process.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Proficient with test meters and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Formal apprenticeship completion or electrician license required.
• Solar experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete projects within policies and procedures.
• Deliver projects within time frames and budgets.
• Maintain high QA/QC with emphasis on crew safety.
• Assemble solar array racking and seal roof penetrations.
• Groundwork for solar installation including MSP connection.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions.
• Communicate professionally with customers and address questions.
• Document paperwork for each completed job.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
