Job summary

Freedom Power is looking for Solar Installers in Austin, Texas to join their team. The ideal candidate will work on installing solar systems, has a strong background in construction or roofing, and possesses a valid driver's license. Responsibilities include attending safety meetings, installing systems according to specifications, and ensuring safe commissioning of PV systems. Qualifications

• Knowledge of residential PV design and components.
• Electrical experience strongly recommended.
• Physical capability to work in adverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Attend safety meetings before work is performed.
• Install equipment per plans and local codes.
• Commission PV systems safely.
• Test system components while operational.

Skills

Knowledge of local electrical codes

Residential solar installation experience

Ability to read blueprints

Ability to test voltages from 10V – 1000V DC

Ability to drive a truck and trailer safely

Education

Valid Driver’s License

Apprentice Electrical License

Valid OSHA 10 certification
