Job summary

Cinterra is seeking an apprentice to provide on-site support for utility-scale solar projects. You will assist supervisors and electricians, help with installations, troubleshooting, and calibrations while enrolled in a four-year registered apprenticeship combining classroom learning with hands-on training.

The role emphasizes safety, punctuality, teamwork, and the ability to work in varying weather and extended hours.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Some experience reading and interpreting plans or specifications (preferred).
  • Willing and able to work long hours, including weekends, with travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate safety as a core value and support the safety program.
  • Willingness to learn electrical trade and follow written/verbal instructions.
  • Receive, store and protect project materials and equipment; report shortages or damage.
  • Safely use equipment on the project facility.
  • Assist supervisors with site logistics and electrical installations.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and repair electrical issues under guidance.
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics for installations.
  • Provide support to other Cinterra divisions as needed.
  • Communicate with customers professionally at all times.
  • Support and promote safety throughout the project duration.
  • Demonstrate a professional demeanor and complete special assignments as required.
