Job summary

The apprentice provides site support and assists supervisors, foreman, and electricians on utility-scale solar projects. Enrolled in Cinterra's four-year registered apprenticeship program combining classroom learning with practical on-the-job training to prepare for journey-worker certification.

Applicants should be eager to learn, follow instructions, and work safely in field conditions; willingness to travel and endure extended hours is required.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to travel full-time and work long hours including weekends.
  • Some experience reading and interpreting plans, and specifications preferred.
  • Strong time-management and collaborative work style.
  • Willingness to learn electrical trade and follow instructions.
  • Commitment to safety and ability to work in field conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Support site operations and assist with electrical installations and repairs.
  • Receive, store, and protect project materials and equipment; report shortages or damage.
  • Follow safety protocols and company safety program as a core value.
  • Assist with interpreting blueprints and schematics.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
  • Demonstrate professional demeanor and willingness to take on special tasks.
