Job summary

ACT Power Services, LLC seeks a Solar Maintenance Technician in Fall River, MA to perform safe, productive repairs and preventive maintenance on Commercial and Utility Scale Solar PV plants. You will troubleshoot, maximize production, and gain hands-on experience across modules, strings, trackers, and inverters.

This entry-level role emphasizes safety, learning NEC code, electrical theory, and best practices while contributing to a cleaner energy future. Weekend/on-call availability is required.

Qualifications

• Familiar with electrical systems and components.
• Proficient with power tools for repair tasks.
• Able to read and interpret schematics accurately.
• Proficient with MS Office suite.
• Able to take direction and perform with minimal oversight.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1910, NFPA 70E, and 70B.
• OSHA 10 General Industry cert is preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work on-call during off hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Uphold a high level of safety standards in everything you do.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance, service, troubleshooting and repair of solar photovoltaic facilities.
• Learn NEC code, electrical theory, and industry best practices.
• Perform DC/AC testing and circuit/insulation checks.
• Interpret schematics to understand system layouts and connections.
• Maintain maintenance schedules for equipment at solar sites.
• Maintain company property and spare parts inventory.
• Provide maintenance and troubleshooting training to technicians as needed.
• Identify safety hazards and take action to remove hazards.
