Job summary

Cinterra is seeking an apprentice to support site operations on utility-scale solar projects in the United States. The role involves assisting with installations, troubleshooting, and calibrations, while enrolled in a four-year registered apprenticeship combining classroom learning and on-the-job training.

The apprentice will follow safety protocols, learn from supervision, and develop journey-worker skills through hands-on experience, in a field environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
• Some experience reading and interpreting plans is preferred.
• Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done.
• Willing and able to endure working in the elements.
• Pass a background test and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate safety as a core value throughout the company and project safety programs.
• Willingness to learn electrical trade and follow instructions.
• Receive, store, and protect project material and equipment; report shortages or damage.
• Safely utilize equipment assigned to the project facility.
• Assist supervisors with electrical installations and site logistics.
• Interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Provide support to other divisions as needed.
• Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Handle special assignments as requested by leadership.
