Job summary

Enstall in North Andover, MA is hiring a Solar Designer to create client-ready solar PV mounting layouts for commercial flat roofs and to prepare project drawings used in permitting and installation. You will generate wind loading analyses, review design documents, and collaborate with sales, engineering, and the clawOS team to deliver accurate, code‑compliant packages under tight deadlines.

Recent experience with AutoCAD and Excel, plus knowledge of AHJ standards, is preferred; hybrid work with

Qualifications

• Two to five years related experience and/or a bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Experience with Jira Service Management, Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), GoTo Meetings and Microsoft Teams.
• Demonstrate empathy, resourcefulness, and drive.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Very high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience with AutoCAD; familiarity with PVsyst or Helioscope is a plus.
• Fluent in math and geometry.

Responsibilities

• Generate client-ready technical solar array drawings for commercial flat roofs.
• Generate a variety of technical project documents, including wind loading and force analyses.
• Maintain expert technical knowledge of all PanelClaw products and competitor products.
• Manage and continuously improve internal Excel and AutoCAD design tools, templates, and processes.
• Review internal and external design documents, providing feedback on design concepts and code compliance.
• Interact directly with customers and sales regarding all technical needs related to PanelClaw's products.
• Identify and troubleshoot problems that arise in the field.
• Communicate with customers daily to research, troubleshoot, and assist users within clawOS.
• Collaborate with Technical Design, clawOS team members, and other functional teams to ensure timely handling of requests.
• Knowledge of local and regional utility and AHJ standards preferred.
