Job summary

PanelClaw in North Andover, MA, is seeking a Solar Designer to design mounting system layouts and prepare project drawings for permitting and installation. You will discuss strategies with team members to ensure the best customer experience and deliver error-free results under tight deadlines.

The role requires 2–5 years of related experience or a bachelor’s degree, proficiency in AutoCAD, and strong math/geometry skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related experience in engineering/design.
• Proven ability to create client-ready solar mounting drawings.
• Familiarity with wind loading and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Generate client-ready technical solar array drawings for commercial flat roofs.
• Create wind loading and force analyses for projects.
• Maintain knowledge of PanelClaw products and competitors.
• Improve Excel and AutoCAD design templates and processes.
• Review design documents for code compliance and accuracy.
• Interact with customers and sales on technical needs through permitting.
• Troubleshoot field issues and support clawOS users.
