Job summary

Pacificsky Solar LLC is seeking a Solar Plan Drafter to prepare accurate, code-compliant solar plan sets for residential and commercial projects, enabling permitting and installation in the Los Angeles area.

The ideal candidate will draft site plans, roof layouts, one-line diagrams, and electrical drawings with AutoCAD and Aurora Solar. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and permit coordinators, ensuring NEC compliance and timely delivery of quality plans.

Qualifications

• Experience drafting residential or commercial solar PV systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software.
• Understanding of NEC requirements and solar permitting processes.
• Ability to read architectural and structural plans.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and time management abilities.
• Experience with Aurora Solar, or similar solar design software is a plus.

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Solar Plan Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and code-compliant residential and commercial solar plan sets for permitting and installation. This role requires strong drafting skills, knowledge of photovoltaic (PV) systems, and the ability to work closely with project managers, engineers, and permit coordinators.

Responsibilities

• Create complete solar permit plan sets using AutoCAD or similar drafting software.


• Produce site plans, roof layouts, single-line diagrams, and electrical drawings.


• Ensure plans comply with local building, electrical, and fire codes.
