Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Solar Laborer Foreman in Fayetteville, NC to supervise crews, manage materials, and drive safety and efficiency on solar projects. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership and adherence to company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities include guiding production teams, developing instruction plans, and training staff while pursuing continuous improvement of safety, quality, and customer service metrics.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years related experience preferred.
• Must possess union specific training.
• Current driver's license.
• Ability to work with tools and equipment listed in qualifications.
• Strong teamwork orientation and customer service skills.
• Detail orientation and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide shift supervision for the team members.
• Lead production team members with a focus on safety and quality and ensure compliance with regulations and policy.
• Develop work instructions and cross-training plans.
• Provide on-the-job training and lead by example.
• Drive continuous improvement of plant KPIs (Safety, Quality, Customer Service, Cost).
• Adjust schedules and workload balance as required by the operation.
• Monitor supply inventory levels and coordinate reordering.
• Utilize lean methodologies and tools to accomplish production goals.
• Take ownership of functions and be responsible for the facility.
