Job summary

Environmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Construction Safety Associate for a 4-week solar construction project in Williamsport, Ohio. The role provides field-level safety support during active construction and infrared scanning of equipment.

Ideal candidates have hands-on construction safety experience, solar project exposure preferred, and must be comfortable wearing FR clothing and required PPE on site. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• OSHA 500 and OSHA 30 certified.
• Ability to wear FR clothing and PPE on site.
• Strong written and verbal communication; good documentation skills.
• Ability to identify hazards and relay corrective actions to crews.
• Willingness to work outdoors and walk/stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily site safety inspections and observations.
• Monitor infrared scanning and construction activities for OSHA compliance.
• Identify hazards and coordinate corrective actions with supervisors.
• Lead JHAs and pre-task planning activities.
• Contribute to toolbox talks and worker orientations.
• Monitor proper use of PPE and safe work practices.
• Support safety oversight of infrared equipment operations.
• Assist with incident and near-miss investigations and documentation.
• Maintain accurate safety records and inspection reports.
• Communicate safety expectations to craft personnel and leadership.
