Construction Safety Associate

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Associate to support a 4-week solar construction project in Williamsport, Ohio. The Safety Associate will provide field-level safety support while crews perform active construction and infrared (IR) scanning of equipment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on construction safety experience, with solar construction experience highly preferred, and must be comfortable working in an environment where FR (flame-resistant) clothing is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and safety observations.
• Monitor construction activities and infrared scanning operations for compliance with OSHA and project safety requirements.
• Identify hazards and work with supervisors and crews to implement corrective actions.
• Conduct and/or assist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and pre-task planning.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and worker orientations.
• Monitor proper PPE use and safe work practices.
• Support safety oversight of crews performing infrared scanning and related equipment activities.
• Assist with incident and near-miss investigations and documentation.
• Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, and required documentation.
• Communicate safety expectations effectively with craft personnel, supervisors, and project leadership.
• Support emergency response and site-specific safety procedures.
