Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Solar General Foreman/Construction Manager for utility-scale solar projects. The role involves leading on-site construction, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring safety and quality across diverse sites nationwide.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in solar construction with 3+ years in leadership, plus strong tracker-system knowledge and proficiency in MS Office. Expect heavy travel and a path toward permanent leadership.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in utility-scale solar construction.
• 3+ years in leadership roles (Foreman/CM/Owner Rep).
• Strong understanding of solar tracker systems (hydraulic, mechanical, electrical).
• Proficiency in MS Office and construction reporting tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and construction math skills.
• Proven leadership and client relationship management.
• Willingness to travel nationwide up to 100%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage on-site construction activities for solar tracking systems.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, electricians, and labor crews for schedules and safety.
• Interpret mechanical and electrical schematics to support workflows.
• Conduct safety meetings aligned with OSHA standards.
• Assist with material takeoffs, sequencing, and subcontractor scope reviews.
• Communicate with project managers, engineers, and clients for alignment.
• Provide technical guidance on electrical and mechanical components to field teams.
