Job summary

Black & Veatch’s VDDS team is seeking a Staff Civil Engineering Technician to support solar and wind infrastructure projects. You will assist in site development, grading, drainage, and utility layouts, using Civil 3D, PVcase and PVFarm.

Under general supervision, you’ll prepare and modify plans, provide technical guidance, and collaborate with engineering professionals to deliver high-quality deliverables while adhering to BV standards.

Qualifications

• Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Diploma or Certificate required.
• Associate Degree preferred in Drafting or Engineering Design Related Technology.

Responsibilities

• Functions in a project engineering technician capacity.
• Develops and modifies technical deliverables.
• Uses CAD/BIM tools to create, modify, and maintain documentation.
• Provides technical guidance to other engineering professionals and technicians.
• Reviews design inputs for code and standard compliance.
• Coordinates with design teams and supports field activities.
