Job summary

SpaceX in Texas seeks an experienced Screen Printing Equipment Engineer for Starlink solar cell production. You will own screen printing and metallization equipment, ensuring uptime and scale for high-volume manufacturing of silicon heterojunction cells.

You will collaborate with Process Engineers to implement new requirements, drive maintenance programs, and push equipment to 1 GW+ per tool in a rapidly expanding production line.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 2+ years hands-on experience owning screen printing or metallization equipment in high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience handling hazardous chemicals safely (pastes, solvents, etc.).
• 5+ years hands-on experience owning and maintaining screen printing equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Install, qualify, maintain, and improve high-throughput screen printing equipment for silicon solar cell manufacturing.
• Drive equipment reliability and uptime to support very large volume production; run experiments and analyze data to improve capacity and reduce defects.
• Lead preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, spare parts programs, and tool matching protocols.
