Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, TX seeks a Sr. Screen Printing Equipment Engineer for solar cell production in Starlink hardware contexts. You will own and optimize high-throughput screen printing equipment for silicon heterojunction cells, ensuring uptime and process integration with the metallization team.

You will partner with Process Engineers, drive tool reliability across 24/7 operations, and lead equipment upgrades for large-scale production and future Starship programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years owning and maintaining screen printing or metallization equipment in high-volume semiconductor or solar manufacturing
• Experience handling hazardous chemicals safely (pastes, solvents, etc.)
• Strong troubleshooting and data analysis skills for complex equipment

Responsibilities

• Install, qualify, maintain, and improve high-throughput screen printing equipment for heterojunction solar cells.
• Drive equipment reliability and uptime for large-volume production with minimal downtime.
• Develop preventive maintenance and spare parts programs for manufacturing hardware.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions on equipment issues including print heads and conveyors.
• Collaborate with Process Engineers to implement new requirements on equipment platforms.
• Evaluate next-generation tools capable of supporting 1GW+ per tool scale production.
