Job summary

SpaceX, through Starlink, seeks a Sr. Screen Printing Equipment Engineer to own screen printing and metallization hardware for silicon solar cells at scale.

You will partner with Metallization/Process teams to ensure uptime, stability, and exceptional equipment performance across production lines supplying Starlink satellites and Moon/Mars missions. You will lead maintenance strategies, tool matching, and vendor collaborations to drive 1GW+ per tool scale production, maintain safety standards,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• 5+ years owning and maintaining screen printing or metallization equipment in high-volume semiconductor or solar manufacturing.
• Experience handling hazardous chemicals safely.

Responsibilities

• Install, qualify, maintain, and improve high-throughput screen printing equipment for heterojunction solar cell manufacturing.
• Drive equipment reliability and uptime to support large volume production with minimal downtime.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies and spare parts programs.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions on equipment issues.
