Job summary

Samsung C&T America, Inc. seeks a Structural Engineer to specialize in utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

You will lead structural analysis, foundation design, and integration of renewable assets, developing specs and evaluating racking and enclosure solutions. Responsibilities include reviewing geotechnical data, designing foundations, and ensuring compliance with ASCE 7, IBC, ACI, and AISC, with 3–5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of dedicated structural design experience in utility-scale solar and BESS sectors.
• Knowledge of geotechnical considerations and structural codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for solar trackers and BESS foundations.
• Design shallow and deep foundations including piles and slabs.
• Review geotechnical reports to determine design parameters.
• Develop structural specifications for trackers, foundations and BESS enclosures.
• Ensure designs comply with ASCE 7, IBC, ACI, and AISC.
