Job summary

CSI Electrical Contractors, Inc. (CSI Electric) – a subsidiary of MYR Group Inc. – seeks a Civil/Structural Design Engineer to design and analyze solar and BESS facilities, review plan sets, and coordinate with customers and engineering teams.

The role includes field handoff, permitting, and QA/QC to ensure successful construction and energization of projects. The candidate should have a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred) and 5–10 years' experience in utility-scale

Qualifications

• Preferred graduate of four-year college or university with Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred).
• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of related work experience.
• Competency with civil/structural system sizing for utility/commercial scale renewable EPC projects.
• Experience in utility-scale solar/PV projects is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Technical responsibility for organizing, reviewing, interpreting, and coordinating project pursuit and design packages with engineering teams.
• Design and verification of grading, structure design, foundation design, and related calculations; prepare plan & profile drawings and construction specs.
• Develop and optimize concepts for solar PV and BESS system design, provide long-term design support, and perform QA/QC reviews.
• Prepare, review, and comment on PPA, interconnection, and service contracts; assist with design for permits and regulatory approvals.
• Conduct site visits to verify construction against designs and maintain proper documentation; support estimation, procurement, and field transition.
