Job summary

Moss Energy is seeking a Commissioning Manager to lead the startup and delivery of utility-scale solar and BESS projects across multiple states. You will supervise commissioning teams, manage on-site activities, and ensure electrical systems meet safety, reliability, and performance standards before energization.

The role requires extensive field leadership, strong knowledge of NETA testing and NEC/NFPA 70E, and the ability to coordinate with construction, SCADA, and utility partners to drive

Qualifications

• Proven experience in leadership or senior technical roles commissioning electrical systems in solar, BESS, or utility sectors.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical testing methods and NETA standards.
• Ability to interpret complex electrical drawings and protective relay settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing and commissioning of medium- and low-voltage electrical systems and BESS power distribution.
• Oversee NETA-based testing and ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage startup, energization, and troubleshooting of AC/DC components on solar/BESS sites.
• Coordinate with construction, SCADA, and utility partners for system integration.
• Review commissioning docs and turnover packages to meet milestones.
• Enforce safety and NEC/NFPA 70E compliance across teams.
• Audit energy isolation procedures (LOTO) for zero incidents.
• Assist Commissioning Director with resource planning and reporting.
