Qualifications

• Testing experience with soil, concrete, or asphalt.
• Certifications in earthwork (ACI or DOT) are a plus.
• Experience conducting nuclear gauge testing in the field is desirable.
• Experience with drive tubes is advantageous.

Job Description

As a Soil Technician, you'll spend most of your day in the field of testing and inspecting construction sites to ensure work is completed according to project specifications. Each morning, you'll meet with your manager, travel to local job sites (typically within 1-2 hours of Charlotte, NC), and perform soil sampling, density testing, moisture testing, and compaction evaluations. You'll document results, communicate findings to project managers and construction teams, and help ensure sites are ready for the next phase of construction. The company's vehicle, travel time, and training are provided, and you'll work either at a single project site or visit multiple locations throughout the day.
