Geo-Logic Associates, Inc. in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Laboratory Manager/Supervisor for the Soil Testing Laboratory to lead staff and oversee testing operations. This role requires managerial experience, strong scientific grounding, and hands-on lab oversight.

You will manage lab workflows, budgets, and client obligations, while mentoring technicians and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. A collaborative, detail-oriented professional will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, laboratory analysis, or related field.
• Managerial and/or supervisory experience.
• Understanding of basic scientific principles.
• Experience following standard laboratory safety practices.
• Aptitude for mechanical and system troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Laboratory Staff.
• Oversee preparation of soil samples for testing and measurement of routine soil geotechnical properties following procedures.
• Manage laboratory operations including project budgets, invoicing, expense filing, etc.
• Assemble testing equipment.
• Direct research experiments.
• Apply basic math and scientific principles to laboratory testing and data interpretation.
• Fulfilling contractual obligations to clients.
• Meet client deadlines while adhering to quality standards.
