Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced test lead to guide testing across a functional area at our onsite facility in Tewksbury, MA. This role requires 8+ years in software testing, a STEM degree, and the ability to obtain an interim secret clearance as U.S. citizenship is required.

You will lead test efforts, develop plans, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust software delivery. On-site work, with occasional after-hours testing as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM required or equivalent
• 8+ years of testing leadership experience
• Experience in software engineering, validation, verification, and requirements analysis
• Ability to obtain interim secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Lead testing activities for a functional area ensuring quality and efficiency
• Create comprehensive test plans with strategies, objectives, and timelines
• Mentor junior engineers and foster continuous learning
• Collaborate with developers, system architects, and cross-functional teams for seamless integration
• Provide status updates on progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders
• Review software requirements for clarity, completeness, and testability
• Write clear test objectives guiding testing activities
• Design and execute manual and automated test cases in an on-site lab
• Analyze test results and document recommendations for improvement
• Occasionally perform testing during second/third shifts
