Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Software Engineer in Michigan to design, implement and test embedded control software across vehicle platforms and ecosystems. The role involves working with Android, QNX and Linux environments, contributing to Software-Defined Vehicle initiatives and vehicle software updates.

You will join an Agile team, collaborate across hardware and software domains, and help deliver high-quality software that enhances vehicle functionality and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Must be graduating between December 2026 and June 2027.
• Must be able to work in southeast Michigan.
• Proficient in C, C++ programming language.
• Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality software solutions for embedded controls systems and vehicle ecosystem.
• Design, implement, test and architect software across Low level SW, embedded SW, Digital SW, and Offboard SW.
• Follow Agile Scrum practices and contribute to software planning and tests.
