Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Software Tester in the Homeland Sector to support a DoS/COTS-enhanced mission-control tool. You will write test plans, monitor CI/CD pipelines, execute tests, report results, and manage defects with cross-functional teams to improve quality and delivery timelines.

The role requires up to two years in software testing, strong analytical skills, team collaboration, and US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Tier 2 Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Up to 2 years of experience in software testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• US Citizen and ability to obtain Tier 2 Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Test Planning and Strategy: Develop test plans, strategies, and test cases based on project requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
• Continuous Monitoring: Monitor CI/CD pipelines, test results, and system logs to identify issues, regressions, and performance bottlenecks early in the development process.
• Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features and bug fixes do not introduce unintended side effects or break existing functionality.
• Test Execution and Reporting: Execute manual tests, create/execute automated tests, record test results, and generate test reports to communicate findings to stakeholders and drive decision-making.
• Defect Management: Identify, report, and prioritize software defects using issue tracking systems, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and validation of fixes.
• Quality Assurance Processes: Contribute to the improvement of quality assurance processes, methodologies, and tools, with a focus on increasing efficiency, effectiveness, and test coverage.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document and configuration manage test cases, procedures, and best practices, and share knowledge with the team through documentation, training sessions, and presentations.
