Job summary

Leidos in Bethesda seeks a Senior Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated tests ensuring quality in software applications within a commercial cloud CI/CD pipeline. You will help streamline testing processes, reduce defects, and accelerate releases.

The role emphasizes automation using Selenium/Katalon Studio, JMeter for performance testing, and collaboration across Agile teams in a SAFe/DevOps environment. TS/SCI with poly is required for U.S. positions.

Qualifications

Experience in software quality assurance with a focus on automation testing.
Experience creating, authoring, executing and documenting test cases in an agile cadence.
Experience using automation frameworks and tools like Selenium or Katalon Studio.
Familiarity with writing efficient and scalable test scripts.
Experience with software performance testing practices.
Experience working/testing within Commercial Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS) and DevOps tools in a SAFe Agile environment.
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment to execute test cases.
BS degree with 8+ years or Master’s with 6+ years of experience; will consider experience in lieu of a degree.
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Responsibilities

Participate in Agile software development initiatives to support testing of custom applications in a cloud environment.
Collaborate to assess Story Point/complexity for proper testing and delivery per Acceptance Criteria.
Develop automated test approaches focusing on recurring/regression tests.
Create automated test cases using GUI/COTS tools (Selenium, Katalon).
Support DevOps practices for repeatability and configuration management of tests.
Document end-to-end test narratives and support performance testing using JMeter.
