Job summary

Leidos currently seeks a Software Tester for the Homeland Sector, focusing on test planning, execution, and defect management for a DHS program integrating custom software with COTS products. The role requires a Bachelor’s in CS or related field and up to 2 years of testing experience. Candidates must be a U.S.

citizen and able to obtain a Tier 2 Public Trust clearance. Responsibilities include risk assessment, reporting, and contributing to QA process improvements within a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• Up to 2 years of software testing experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Must be eligible for Tier 2 Public Trust clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans, strategies, and test cases from requirements and user stories.
• Monitor CI/CD pipelines, test results, and system logs to identify issues and performance bottlenecks early.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure new features do not break existing functionality.
• Execute manual tests, run automated tests, record results, and generate reports.
• Identify, report, and prioritize defects and coordinate with development teams.
• Contribute to QA process improvements and tools.
• Document test cases and share knowledge with the team.
