Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking a Software Test Engineer Co-op in Waltham, MA to join a high‑performing product quality team in an Agile environment. You will help develop and execute test cases for software components, manual testing, and contribute to test automation using Python, MATLAB or C++. The program runs Jan 11 to Aug 6 or Aug 13, 2027; relocation may be available.

The role is hybrid with 3–4 days in the office, and sponsorship is not provided. Eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor or graduate degree in computer science, biomedical engineering or physics, with an expected graduation date in fall/winter 2027 or spring 2030.
• Available to participate for the full duration of the co‑op program from Jan. 11 through Aug. 6 or Aug. 13 2027.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment‑based work authorization.
• Have reliable transportation to and from 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452. Boston Scientific does not provide transportation or transportation support to and from its locations.
• Proficient in Python or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Use problem-solving skills to perform meaningful engineering work.
• Collaborate with a cross‑functional team to support product quality.
• Design, develop and execute test cases to ensure product quality by validating system functionality and verifying that business and user requirements are met within the electrophysiology domain.
• Manually execute tests and run automated test scripts.
• Ensure testing is conducted according to written procedures.
• Document test results and prepare test reports.
• Record and track defects using a bug‑tracking system.
