Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking a Software Test Engineer Intern in Waltham, MA for a hybrid role requiring in‑office presence 3–4 days a week. The internship runs May 17–Aug 6, 2027 or May 24–Aug 13, 2027.

You will work with developers in an Agile environment on the OPAL HDx Mapping System, writing test cases, executing tests, and contributing to test automation with Python, MATLAB, or C++. Required: pursuing a CS, biomedical engineering or physics degree with graduation in 2027/2028; eligible to

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in computer science, biomedical engineering or physics, with an expected graduation date in fall/winter 2027 or spring 2028.
Available to participate for the full duration of the intern program from May 17th- August 6th OR May 24th- August 13th, 2027.
Eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment‑based work authorization.
Proficient in Python or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

Use problem‑solving skills to perform meaningful engineering work.
Collaborate with a cross‑functional team to support product quality.
Design, develop and execute test cases to ensure product quality by validating system functionality and verifying that business and user requirements are met within the electrophysiology domain.
Manually execute tests and run automated test scripts.
Ensure testing is conducted according to written procedures.
Document test results and prepare test reports.
Record and track defects using a bug‑tracking system.
