Job summary

WCG is seeking a Software Test Engineer to support the testing, validation, and delivery of named products and systems. You will apply risk-based testing across the SDLC, execute manual and automated tests, and prepare validation documentation in collaboration with Software Engineering, Business Analysts, and stakeholders.

The role requires a BS in a related field and 3+ years in QA/test engineering, with experience in Playwright and test management tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of software QA/test engineering experience; life sciences domain is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise test management tools such as Zephyr (or Xray/TestRail) or Helix ALM (Test Track).
• Experience executing automated regression suites with Playwright preferred.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, risk-based testing, and software/validation life cycles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements and design documentation to ensure testability and alignment with specifications.
• Develop and execute test/validation activities; maintain CSV documentation, test scripts, and traceability.
• Contribute to automated test suites using Playwright for UI, API, and real-time components.
• Maintain test cases and execution cycles in Zephyr/JIRA or equivalent tools.
• Perform manual regression testing and data-set preparation for logic and workflow testing.
• Support CI/CD test suites and improve release confidence.
• Analyze results and collaborate with engineering to resolve defects.
• Communicate testing status to stakeholders and support customer testing as needed.
• Provide training on testing tools and best practices.
