WCG Clinical, Inc. is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join the Quality Engineering team.

You will support testing, validation, and delivery of named products and systems, applying risk-based testing across the SDLC and collaborating with Software Engineering, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality and compliance. The role involves automated regression with Playwright across UI, API, and real-time components, maintaining test management artifacts in Zephyr or Xray, and

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of software QA/test engineering experience.
• Experience with Zephyr (or Xray/TestRail) or Helix ALM for test management.
• Experience with automated regression suites using Playwright.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, risk-based testing, and SDLC validation.
• Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to translate product and protocol requirements into test cases and scripts.
• Preferred: Typescript, API testing with Postman/Newman or REST Assured, Jira/Agile, AI-augmented testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements and design docs to ensure testability and alignment with protocols.
• Develop and execute risk-based test plans and maintain CSV/test traceability.
• Contribute to automated test suites with Playwright across UI, API, and real-time components.
• Maintain test cases and traces in Zephyr/JIRA or equivalent.
• Conduct manual regression testing to ensure release quality.
• Prepare data sets to test logic and workflows; perform load and performance tests.
• Log defects in JIRA and validate remediation.
• Support CI/CD test integration and enhance regression suites.
• Analyze test results and collaborate with engineering to resolve issues.
• Assist in validation/documentation and change-control processes.
• Participate in evaluation of AI-augmented testing tools.
• Provide status updates to stakeholders and support customer testing as needed.
