Job summary

SAIC seeks a Software Systems Engineer to support the Expeditionary Electronic Warfare Division at NSWC Crane in Crane, IN. You will design, develop, test, and integrate EW-related software and firmware across lab and field environments. Responsibilities include requirements traceability, Git-based configuration management, and IV&V testing to deliver robust solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a technical field, 3+ years of experience, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. U.S.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience designing, coding, integrating, testing, and maintaining software in a structured engineering environment.
• Proficiency in Python, C, C++, Java, or similar.
• Experience with unit, integration, and system-level testing.
• Familiarity with Git-based version control and software configuration management.
• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, integrate, test, and maintain software and firmware for EW systems.
• Support software lifecycle from design through fielded systems.
• Plan, code, test, and deliver algorithms and programs per requirements.
• Ensure traceability between requirements and tests.
• Perform requirements analysis, risk assessment, and mitigation for software work.
• Support unit, integration, IV&V testing and documentation.
• Conduct code reviews and document automated test results.
