Job summary

SAIC is seeking a software/firmware engineer to support the Expeditionary Electromagnetic Warfare division at NSWC Crane. You will design, develop, test, and sustain mission-critical software for EW and tactical systems through the full lifecycle, from architecture to fielding, with a strong emphasis on security and interoperability.

The role requires 3+ years in software engineering, proficiency in C/C++/Python/Java, and the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering in a structured environment.

• Experience with system-level testing and git-based version control.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modernize, and sustain software and firmware for EW and tactical mission systems across the full lifecycle.
• Analyze requirements, perform validation and risk assessments, and ensure traceability from design to acceptance.
• Execute comprehensive testing (unit, integration, IV&V) with rigorous traceability to requirements.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize systems; address cybersecurity vulnerabilities; support secure cloud and mission networks.
