Job summary

IQE in Greensboro, NC is seeking an IT helpdesk specialist to deliver excellent technical service to users and provide desktop support. The role requires handling first-line support requests, troubleshooting Windows PCs, and maintaining accurate documentation.

The candidate should have an IT qualification or 2 years’ related experience, be comfortable with Microsoft technologies, and work well in a manufacturing environment. OOH standby is required during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Qualification in an IT discipline, or a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies (Installing, configuring, supporting, troubleshooting).
• Experience with Windows XP / 98 / 2000.
• Experience with networks including Wireless AP's.
• Experience with HP hardware: laptops, desktops, switches and network hardware.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Ability to communicate well with all levels of staff and work as a team.
• Strong customer support and planning skills with multi-tasking and prioritisation.

About the role

This role is responsible for providing an excellent technical service to the organization's users in a helpdesk environment along with providing desktop support, including some "out of hours" work especially during emergencies. participation in the standby rota, providing OOH support. Position is located in Greensboro, NC

• First line support for Helpdesk system.
• Carrying out technical/IT related tasks and ensuring all work quality is of a high standard across the team. Supported with good documentation including quality process documentation.
• Ensure that all customer requirements are met in full and on time.
• Promoting innovation and ensure troubleshooting skills are of a high standard.
• To participate in both local and group wide projects.
• Adhering to all internal safety, HR, environmental and quality guidelines & procedures

About you
