Job summary

RTX (Raytheon) seeks a Software Section Manager in Marlborough, MA to lead embedded software teams in an Agile environment. You will guide software engineers, project engineers, and support staff to design, implement, test, and integrate software for radio architectures, while ensuring compliance with DoD standards.

Strong leadership and deep experience in C/C++, Linux, and real-time embedded systems are required, along with active DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Experience in software design, implementation, testing and system integration.
• Familiar with Agile/Lean development methodologies.
• Degree in CS or related field; advanced degree and extensive experience preferred.
• Experience with C/C++ and Linux-based development environments.
• Active DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities and provide technical guidance to software and project engineers.
• Lead staffing plans, recruitment, performance, and career development actions.
• Provide input to new products, processes and standards and ensure adoption.
• Ensure compliance with Collins Aerospace development processes and standards.
• Direct and review team work while promoting independence and accountability.
