Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a Manager, Software Engineer to lead a software section through development, testing, and transition to production. You will supervise approximately 15–20 engineers and drive solutions integrated with hardware test systems.

You will use C#, C++, and Windows-based tools, oversee performance reviews, and mentor engineers while maintaining compliance with security requirements and company values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering design using C/C++/C# on Windows environments.
• Experience with factory/lab test instrumentation and software.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of 15–20 software engineers.
• 15% of the work week on Section Lead duties, remaining time on program contracts.
• Conduct formal and informal performance reviews and career development discussions.
• Leads by example and aligns with Raytheon RTX values and behaviors.
• Mentor junior and mid-career software engineers.
