Job summary

Raytheon in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Software Section Leader to oversee the Ground & Maritime Defense Radar Software Department. You will lead software personnel to meet program needs in an agile environment, coordinating goals and learning plans while ensuring policy alignment.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree, 8+ years of leadership and C++ development experience, and holds an active DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of experience.
Experience in functional or program leadership role.
Experience in software development life cycle using C++ and in Agile development methods (Scrum, automated testing, CI).

Responsibilities

Sustain, assess, and develop the section and its members.
Collect and provide performance feedback to section members as part of performance discussions.
Support goal development with section members, including completing learning courses.
Coordinate career and job assignments.
Support salary and staffing planning activities.
Ensure section members adhere to policy, vision, values, and goals and communicate flow-down of information to the section.
Assist the Department Leader in executing organizational initiatives and managing the department.
Support a major program task within the department.
This position requires exclusive onsite presence.
