Job summary

RTX is seeking a motivated Software Section Leader to join the Ground & Maritime Defense Radar Software Department. You will oversee software personnel to meet program needs and help lead critical program tasks.

Typically requires a Bachelor's in STEM and 8+ years in leadership, with experience in C++, Agile methods including Scrum, automated testing, and CI. A U.S. Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of experience.
• Experience in software development life cycle using C++.
• Experience in Agile development methods, including Scrum, automated testing and continuous integration.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Sustain, assess, and develop the section and its members.
• Collect and provide performance feedback to section members as a part of performance impact discussions.
• Support goal development with section members, including completing learning courses.
• Coordinate career and job assignments.
• Support salary and staffing planning activities.
• Ensure section members adhere to policy, vision, values, and goals and communicate flow‑down of information to the section.
• Assist the Department Leader in executing organizational initiatives and managing the department.
• Support a major program task within the department.
