Job summary

TRUMPF is seeking an Engineering Technician I – Software Development to join our team. This entry to mid-level role supports software and firmware modifications for high power RF and VHF generator equipment, with travel for training and on-site support.

You will interact with customers by phone and email, coordinate with internal teams, and help develop new tools and products. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in similar roles, basic vacuum system knowledge, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in similar software engineering or technical positions.
• Read and understand vacuum system architecture, including mechanical and electrical blueprints; understand electrical and control systems.
• Basic understanding of systems/network communications technology – Ethernet, DeviceNet, Profibus, etc.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain product knowledge of TRUMPF Huettinger (TH) systems across relevant industries.
• Explain technology and product positioning to business and technical users.
• Provide design support to consultants, integrators, and distributors.
• Travel to local project sites for start-up, integration, and training services.
