Job summary

TRUMPF North America is seeking an Engineering Technician I – Software Development to support internal software development programs. This entry to mid-level role will modify software and firmware for high power RF and VHF generator equipment and provide customer support by phone and email.

Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years in similar software engineering or technical positions.
Reading and understanding vacuum system architecture and blueprints.
Basic understanding of electrical and control systems.

Responsibilities

Maintain product knowledge across Semiconductor, Display, and Optical.
Articulate technology and product positioning to business and technical users.
Provide design and specification development support to consultants and distributors.
Respond to RFIs/RFPs with technical detail.
Lead customer consultations and present proposed design concepts.
Assist in design and development of new products and tools.
Maintain records of client accounts, opportunities, and projects.
Travel to local project sites for start‑up, integration, and training.
