Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) seeks a Software Quality Engineer II to create, maintain, and execute automated tests, break down test scope, and identify automation opportunities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage and quality, writing complex scripts and SQL statements for functional, API, and backend validation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Math; Master’s Degree preferred; equivalent work experience considered
At least 2 years of experience as a Software Quality Engineer
Experience in QA tools such as TestRail and collaboration tools like JIRA/Confluence
Expert knowledge of QA methodologies and automated testing tools (Playwright, Selenium, Jenkins)
Programming experience in C, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript preferred
Experience with automated frameworks and metrics
Experience in data verification and reports testing (Jasper, Tableau)
Experience in DevOps and Test-Driven Development
Experience testing in a Cloud environment, preferably AWS
Experience in functional automated testing
Familiar with Windows, UNIX and/or Linux environments
Experience in databases/SQL
Thrives in fast-paced web app development
Excellent problem-solving and process-improvement skills
Agile development certification preferred
Strong sense of ownership and drive for results
Excellent communication skills for client and team interaction

Responsibilities

Review and interpret requirements and design documents to derive automated test scope and strategy for functional and API verification scripts.
Participate in cross-functional teams and multi-site meetings; coordinate testing across environments.
Assist DevOps with continuous integration; implement methods and techniques.
Write complex functional scripts and SQL statements; automate test execution for verification and backend validation.
Create and present scripts that meet project goals and recommend automation improvements.
Provide automated testing LOE and baseline estimates; allocate testing tasks in project plans.
