Job summary

Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) is seeking a DevOps Automation Engineer IV to lead lifecycle management of Traverse AWS infrastructure, including deployment, patching, and security. You will work across environments, enabling automation, and guiding teams on best practices.

You will respond to complex incidents, plan capacity, and drive proactive maintenance while advancing monitoring, observability, and cost-optimization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent work experience considered.
• 7+ years experience in systems and infrastructure administration with AWS, Linux, and Python.
• Experience deploying, managing, and administering AWS infrastructure (API Gateway, RDS, ELB, Cloudfront, AMQ, Cognito, S3, IAM, WAF, VPC) and observability tools.
• Proficient with configuration management (Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Scripting proficiency (Bash, Python, AWS CLI).
• Understanding security best practices and access controls for deployments and administration.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing, firewalls).

Responsibilities

• Support, deploy, administer, and maintain ARC’s Traverse AWS infrastructure platforms and observability tools.
• Respond to complex incidents and events; participate in capacity planning and maintenance activities.
• Develop proactive maintenance plans and be on-call for production emergencies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize performance and cost.
• Establish lifecycle management for infrastructure and enterprise tools.
• Document approaches for scalable and efficient infrastructure maintenance.
• Stay current with system administration tools and coach peers.
