Job summary

A technology staffing firm seeks an experienced Software QA Analyst to join a 100% remote team. Job description

TechTalent Squared has been retained in search for an experienced Software QA Analyst with strong mortgage industry experience. This position is a contract and is 100% remote. The ideal Software QA Analyst will have strong mortgage and loan servicing experience and have demonstrated success managing multiple simultaneous projects in the mortgage industry and specifically in area of loan origination, servicing, systems, and customer satisfaction.

What you will be doing:
  • Ensures the company’s software products meet quality standards by researching, consulting, performing testing processes and leveraging automation tools to measure total product quality.
  • Performs quality assurance activities requiring planning, scheduling, and testing to ensure that developed or third-party products meet functional business requirements and technical design specifications.
  • Works directly with product managers and development managers to design, plan, and coordinate testing programs to prevent or eliminate defects.
  • Runs in depth testing, diagnoses problems, recommends solutions, and determines if business requirements have been satisfied.
  • Ensures test cases are developed based upon application business requirements and technical design specifications with emphasis on positive testing, negative testing, integration testing, and performance/ stress testing.
  • Ensures test case library is entered within testing software and managed across application releases.
  • Responsible for test environment setup including application installation, test data preparation, documentation, and assets management.
  • Provides feedback loop to stakeholders on overall product quality.
  • Contributes to the success of the organization by helping others accomplish job results; learning new skills needed by the team; finding new ways to help the team.
Experience and skills needed in the role:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and at least three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 + years recent mortgage industry experience required
  • Working experience with automated testing tools and be well-versed in testing methodologies as applied to software development efforts.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft TFS, Microsoft Test Manager, and Selenium a plus but not required
  • Familiarity with agile lifecycle methodology a plus
