Job summary

KBR in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Software Test Engineer to ensure quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise software through manual and automated testing across the development lifecycle.

The role collaborates with developers, product owners, analysts, and stakeholders to validate requirements, design test plans, scripts, and acceptance criteria, and to drive continuous testing efforts. The position supports critical missions worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years in software QA or related roles.
• Experience with manual and automated testing across enterprise apps.
• Experience building automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and SDLC knowledge.
• U.S. Citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, system, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
• Develop and maintain test plans, cases, scripts, and docs.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts.
• Execute automated test suites and support CI/CD testing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Identify, document, track, and validate defects.
• Support testing of data validation, system integrations, and interoperability.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint activities.
• Assist with test env prep, data management, release validation.
• Contribute to process improvements and QA best practices.
